At Brilliant Read Media, it is our constant endeavour to identify and share some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this, we invited Manushi Shah Chokshi for an interview with Brilliant Read Media. To say further, Manushi is an Artist and Founder at Tranquil Soul Art. Let’s learn more about her background, inspiring journey so far and her advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Manushi:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

I’m an artist and founder of Tranquil Soul Art — a creative space where art meets mindfulness. Art has been part of my life since I was a child — something I could spend hours doing without noticing time. But it was only last year that I began exploring it more intentionally, and that’s when it found direction and purpose.

What started as a personal outlet slowly grew into Tranquil Soul Art — a space that encourages people to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves.

Through this journey, I’ve realised how deeply art connects us to emotion and calm. Even though it’s still the beginning, it already feels aligned with who I am and what I want to create.

How did you discover your passion?

It happened quite naturally. I wouldn’t even call it a passion — it feels more like something that’s in my blood. My father and my aunt loved drawing, and I grew up painting since childhood. It’s always been my quiet space.

When I started painting regularly again, I noticed how much peace and clarity it brought me. Over time, I realised this wasn’t just something I enjoyed — it was something I wanted to build with meaning and share with others.

That’s how Tranquil Soul Art came to life — from the belief that art can be both beautiful and grounding. Through my work, I hope to offer gentle reminders to trust, be present, and stay connected with one’s calm.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

What keeps me going is the purpose behind what I’m creating — to help others let go of the constant rush and realise that life doesn’t have to be stressful without reason.

Building Tranquil Soul Art from scratch has been a deeply personal journey. It’s come with quite challenges — moments of self-doubt, slow growth, creative blocks, and days when the world felt like it was moving faster than I could. Balancing creativity, patience, and responsibility hasn’t always been easy, but each experience has taught me to pause instead of push, to breathe through uncertainty, and to trust that everything unfolds in its own time.

Over time, I’ve learned that alignment matters more than speed and that growth often happens in silence. This journey keeps reminding me that my art isn’t just about painting — it’s about living what I create: slowing down, surrendering control, and finding peace in the process.

What keeps me anchored through it all is the thought that my art and words might reach someone who needs them — someone learning to slow down, to breathe, to reconnect with their calm again.

And if my work can bring even a small sense of peace or direction to another soul, then every challenge feels worth it. So I keep showing up — creating, learning, and trusting the universe to guide the rest.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned so far?

1) Growth takes time — nothing blooms overnight. But with patience, trust in the universe, and steady consistency, everything unfolds as it’s meant to.

2) Being genuine creates more impact than trying to please everyone. People connect with truth and intention more than perfection.

3) Balance matters. Taking care of yourself — physically, mentally, and emotionally — keeps your work meaningful and your spirit aligned. Surrendering when things don’t go as planned often brings you closer to what’s truly meant for you.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

For me, success is about alignment — staying true to your values and doing work that feels right. It’s not about how fast you move, but how consistently you show up and keep learning along the way.

Self-awareness, discipline, and patience play a big part. When your actions come from purpose instead of pressure, things unfold more naturally. To me, success is built slowly — through presence, authenticity, and a willingness to grow through every stage.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Take time to understand yourself and what truly feels meaningful to you. Don’t rush the process or compare your path with others — everyone’s timing is different. Stay curious, keep learning, and build habits that help you grow with patience and consistency.

Let go of stress and control — just do your part with sincerity and then breathe. Trust the divine timing of things. What’s meant for you will never bypass you.

When your work comes from clarity and purpose, it naturally carries strength and confidence. Success then becomes a reflection of your alignment, not just your achievements.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying or exciting?

What excites me most is that this is just the beginning — there’s so much more to learn, create, and explore. Every painting, every message, every connection feels like a small step forward on a meaningful path.

What makes this journey deeply fulfilling is knowing that through my art and words, I’m able to share a bit of my wisdom and help others live with more calm, clarity, and direction. Seeing my work touch someone’s heart or bring them closer to themselves makes it all worthwhile.

Tranquil Soul Art continues to grow as a space for reflection and stillness. On @tsaartstudio, I share my original paintings and exhibitions, while @tranquilsoulart is where I post gentle reminders and reflections for your inner journey.

If your heart is learning to slow down and trust the flow, you’ll find a piece of your story here — and that’s what makes this journey so beautiful and alive. 🌼
